If you enter the parkland via the food bridge titled 'John Nugent Way' at the Southern Cross Circuit end you will walk onto the bridge, we will be located in the area on the left hand side near White Gum Terrace. You can find a map here. This is located between White Gum Terrace and the bridge you are walking on, we will be visable almost as soon as you enter the bridge.
Plenty of parking available at either end of the parklands, please refer to the map to find the most suitable for your needs.
A reminder this is designed as an afternoon out to allow people to unwind, you are welcome to bring your kids (if they are registered ticket holders) but we encourage you to leave toddlers and babies with babysitters and enjoy an awesome afternoon off the tools and allow others to do the same.
Travelling with your work
Your work will be almost dry on departure. You will have a foam tray on which to stack your work to dry, please do take care when travelling to ensure that your work isn't flipped over or moves during transit.
Waterproofing your art
We recommend that you waterproof your art if you intend to use it as a functional piece or for the longevity of your design before use to ensure your beautiful artwork stays put. We recommend letting your glasses sit for 7 days in the first instance, then applying 2-3 thin clear coats of varnish to your artwork, you can get gloss or matt varnish from Kmart for $8 or other brands from reputable art suppliers. Be sure to do this in thin coats so that you do not disturb your artwork or reactivate the ink (choose a varnish that is NOT alcohol-based). When applying varnish be sure to keep your work 20-25cm away from the spray bottle and wear appropriate PPE. Do not use your artwork as functional art without water treating it first, this will destroy your work. Please do not bake your art to seal it, the colours will change and some colours may peel. For a superior life choose Krylon Kamar Varnish for your art.
Taking care of your art
Once sealed properly, your glasses can be used as functional art. Please ensure that you treat them carefully, avoid scrubbers or soaking your glasses, a warm hand wash and air dry is all that is required. They are not dishwasher safe.
*****TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE*****
Please read the full terms and conditions for your ticket here before purchasing, these cover class refunds, private events, postponing or cancelling events, stock shortages, pandemics, bad weather and all other items relating to your purchase.
Regarding refunds, we do understand that things come up in life, but as a business, we have to consider the costs involved in reserving and holding seats for people who don't show up to our classes. When tickets are booked (ours are almost always fully booked) others miss out on the seat. We have to purchase class supplies a couple of weeks in advance in preparation for your class so by the time your class arrives we have already spent the cash allocated for your ticket on the supplies needed to teach your class. For those classes that require pre-work, we will have paid an artist to complete it and another staff member to put together your pack for the evening, we will also have to pay someone to disassemble it and attempt to redistribute stock.
This becomes particularly expensive as it happens regularly enough that we now need a policy for it. Instead for those who are kind enough to let us know 48 hours in advance, we gladly offer the option of credit transfers please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to rebook. You can use that credit for any time in the next 12 months and transfer to any class, a $10 admin fee applies to process the rebooking for you.
Group bookings may be cancelled or rebooked up to 1 week before the scheduled session, otherwise, each seat will incur a $25 cancellation/rebooking fee. The same time requirements apply for no shows in private events as they do for our general events.
ALL NO SHOWS are charged the FULL amount WITHOUT a refund. This is not negotiable and includes calling in sick.
Please note this is an outside event and our wet weather policy is in place, for outdoor events that are cancelled due to weather, we will attempt to book a replacement date then email you to let you know the new date has been booked, this can take up to 7 days to arrange as we need to coordinate with venues, speakers, teachers and caterers. If you can not make that date, we will offer a credit transfer to any class of your choosing. We do not refund for bad weather.
Change of circumstances - we will not refund for the customer's change of personal circumstances. If you provide us 48 hours' notice we will offer a credit.
