ULTRA HOT PROCESS SOAP MAKING CLASS
This class is a wonderful beginner class for soap makers. You will start this class with a safety chat and a detailed step by step explanation of the process. Next, you will measure your ingredients, create lye solution, take your soap to trace, encounter a small 'soap volcano' before scenting, moulding up and decorating some beautifully handmade bars of coconut soap!
How long is this class:
The hands-on part of this class goes for 45 minutes, the whole class between 1-1.5 hours, coffee and slice are provided at the conclusion of the class.
How much is this class:
This class costs $68 - You will leave your soaps with us for 1 week to cure. You can collect from 7 days after your class at 98 Brisbane Terrace between 7am-2pm Monday to Saturday. You may use it straight away but your soap will perform better if allowed to cure for 4-6 weeks before use.
What you make:
You will make 4 'stacked' bars (double thick) or 5-6 smaller bars depending on how you distribute your soap in your moulds. If you cut your smaller bars in half you will end up with x2 the number of bars. You will decorate the soap with dried flowers and scent with 100% certified organic essential oils.

Is this class suitable for kids:
We do not think this class is suitable for children due to exposure to lye. Lye is a chemical solution created from 100% caustic soda and water. This can create easily chemical burns to the skin with minimal exposure and if rubbed into eyes can cause blindness. If you choose to bring your children to this class, parents take complete responsibility for the supervision of their kids.
