The Details

Have you been thinking about trying out Polymer Clay? This is the perfect beginner class! Learn how to sip, dip and make your way to a masterpiece with us! In this class, your instructor will walk you through the process of how to make a collection of fun items from a polymer clay slab!

We are using Mont Marte Polymer Clay, so to check the colour combinations available by comparing the tickets listed on this event, to their website to view colours.

Included in your price of this ticket is:

- A super easy step by step learn to make class run by your fabulous teacher

- All the equipment and materials you will need for a fantastic morning of crafting

What you will make in class:

- A collection of polymer clay beads with your choice of patterns

- A collection of earrings (5-8 Pairs or more depending on the sizes you opt to make)

What you can assemble with them once you bake them:

You will be working with 4 packets of clay (equalling 240 grams in total) so depending on what you decide to make, and what size's you choose to use when making your shapes, you can make significantly more than what is listed - but as a basic expectation for this class you will make from the resulting shapes:

- A lanyard or keyring

- A beaded necklace

- A collection of earrings

What you will take home in your kit to assemble your work:

Any spare clay you didn't use from your pack in class

1 tray to carry your work home on

1 Tassel

1 keyring

1 String of bungee cord

1 sheet of baking paper

1 Packet of jewellery basics (Jumprings, lobster clasps, Earring Hooks, 1 length of twine)

Printed instructions on how to bake and assemble your pieces.

What you will need at home to finish the job:

A set of pliers

Some spray gloss varnish (Kmart stock's it cheaply in their craft section)

What will happen during class:

On arrival, you will check-in at the Soul Nook then head over to your teacher to start your class. This session will be a small class held on the grass under the trees. During the maker session, your teacher will show you how to make beads in a variety of patterns and show options on how to apply finishes like gold foil and glitter for something a little extra (cheat sheets are provided with a list of patterns you can apply to your beads) and your teacher will be there to help you step by step).

Then you will create a colourful slab and cut shapes from it to make earrings, create holes for hanging and at the end of the session head home with a tray full of work ready to bake and make!
