Are you ready for date nights with a side of extra?  We are partnering with one of the regions premier dining venues Moselles to provide something super special!!  Imagine enjoying a delicious hot restaurant meal on dusk, light refreshments an entree and dessert while you snuggle under blankets amidst the pillows of your boho styled private picnic overlooking the lakes listening to the mellow sounds of acoustic guitar! Never mind your attendant on hand to cater to your needs as they arise.  We are excited to announce ticket sales for this amazing Event!

What's included in the price of $225?

a 3-course meal for 2 people (1x entree to share, 2x main & 2x desserts & drinks)

What's included in the price of $150

a shared antipasto platter + a shared dessert platter (drinks can be purchased from the regular menu via your picnic attendant).

A styled picnic space for you to use for 2 hours. BYO meal/drinks welcome.

What happens on the night?

This evening is all about you - on arrival you will be greeted by your sip n dip chaperone who will show you to your perfectly positioned private picnic spot and take your meal order. You will enjoy a mouth-watering chef-prepared 3-course meal and drink followed by your choice of tea or coffee delivered right to your picnic for you to enjoy leisurely over your 2-hour stay with us.

How long are we reserved for?

2 hours - But you can add on a second 1 hour on for $50 and stay a little longer in your divine picnic. 

Are you licenced?

No, Moselles is BYO but the park is council property meaning we are not allowed to permit alcohol onsite. 

Can you prepare our meal on-site at our picnic?

No, Moselles prepares and handles all the meals in their commercial kitchen. Sip ‘n’ Dip ensures that the meal is delivered in the package and stays in the package that it was put in by the food licensed premises (Moselles) that made the food. 

Do you have public liability

Yes, we are insured to 20 million by Allianz and the certificate of currency can be located here.

Do you have entertainment?

We employ the soulful music of the very talented Virjilla Joyce for our events. She plays in the background to allow you a soulful and subtle atmosphere during your picnic. You can learn more about her here.

What will our sip n dip staff member do?

They will be there to deliver your meal, check on your comfort and remove your used plates between courses. They will also be responsible for all 6 of our picnics on the evening. So if there is anything you need, as they pass just let them know and they would be all too happy to assist.

What kind of meals are on offer?

Your ticket includes a 3-course meal. On the evening you will be provided with a choice of 1 Entree to share, 2 Mains and 2 Desserts expertly prepared by Chef Dominic. If you have special dietary requirements please let us know and we can speak to Moselles to ensure you are catered to. 

Will we know the meals on offer before the night?

No, these will be chosen by Chef the week of your picnic.

Can we bring extras from home to add to our picnic?

Yes! You may add whatever you like to your picnic should you like to bring some extras from home, please be our guest and enjoy the space.

Why do you have a set menu?

Such that we can continue to provide this service at an affordable rate with all the trimmings we like to include, we make it easy for Chef to provide high-quality meals at affordable prices by letting him plan to a set menu. Supporting small business is important to us, so in this little way we can continue to provide the picnics at an affordable rate.

Can we order extras off the regular menu in addition?

Yes! If you feel like something to add to your order, feel free to let our staff member know and they will ensure its delivered to you.

Is there a toilet on-site?

Yes, but you are also welcome to use the facilities inside Moselles rather than the council restrooms only a moments walk from your picnic.

Do you pay the musician?

Yes, we pay the musician an hourly rate for the duration of your 2-hour stay.

Do you have a council permit to use this space?

Yes, we have a permit issued from Ipswich City Council for the full and complete use of the boardwalk up to 100 people and have paid an hourly rate of $75 to reserve the space exclusively for our picnics which means no one else can disturb your picnic for the duration.

Can you do a discounted rate?

No, we have researched the competition thoroughly and are very confident that our prices are considerably cheaper apples for apples than all other styled picnics options the market. None of them can boast live music and restaurant-quality 3 course (hot) meals included so you are in for a treat!

Can we book the whole space and have one large picnic event?

Yes! Chat to us about how we can make this happen for you at hello@sipndipipswich.com we, however, must be sure we are meeting COVID spacing requirements.

Do you provide blankets?

Yes! Blankets to snuggle to sit on and to keep you warm! We also supply pillows for you to lean back and enjoy the evening.
