Hi Team,

This year's Christmas Party will be held on Sunday 26th November 2023, we initially indicated a date saver for Sunday 3rd December 2023 - this has changed to this date so that you can also enjoy the arts and crafts market that will be on at the parklands that day.

The plan for the day is that we will set up

Date: Sunday 26th November 2023

Time/s: Lunchtime till about 5 PM

Location: Paradise Point Parklands, The Esplanade, Paradise Point, Gold Coast (carpooling encouraged if people are traveling).

Family, Contractors, Furr Babies +1's: Very warmly welcome (And encouraged) to attend with you

Bring with you: Water-bottle, camp chair to sit on, togs/towel if swimming, suncream, rods, etc if fishing

Format: This will be a relaxed afternoon out for everyone, the idea is that you can come for as little or as much as fits in with your Sunday plans and/or needs at any time throughout the timeframe listed, we will be fishing, swimming, play some cricket bocce and/or beach volleyball wandering the markets and eating for most of the day. Basically winding down. We will bring the boat down so we can take the kids for a little ride or the big kids can fish, will have tents set up with picnic tables and there will be cold drinks, platter snack food, and a BBQ supplied.

Locating us: On the way we envisage that we will be located near the swimming enclosure, however, on arrival we will post photos and the exact location so that you know where to park.

Awareness of others: We have a diverse team with a broad range of backgrounds, and we pride ourselves on being inclusive. Mental health is important, and Christmas can be a period of significantly more anxiety than normal for most people, more so for those who suffer without the season. It is for this reason amongst others that we have created this informal event with informal timing, in a location that allows you to attend for as long as you are comfortable, at a venue that allows a variety of interests to be met across the board.
