ABOUT THIS PROJECT
You will be mixing, colouring and applying resin to the face of your clock.Â
TRAVELLING WITH YOUR WORK
You will travel home with a clock face covered in epoxy resin, we recommend ride sharing as this will allow you to hold your clock with both hands while your travel and keep it level. You can expect your work to move by roughly 1.5 inches from the design created in class (this will happen and your design will change, even if it is left in place as the resin you are using has self-levelling properties and will attempt to find its level due to gravity).
If you choose NOT to ride share, get a taxi or have someone pick you up, you accept that your design will 100% move dramatically - much more than 1.5 inches, and will likely look totally different on arrival home. You agree also that by travelling home not holding your work level, you may accidentally allow resin into the clocks mechanism, if this happens the mechanism will cease and be unable to work functionally and your clock will become decorative only.
POST-CLASS CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Please leave your work in a dust/pest/child/pet free location for 15 days before hanging your clock.
WHAT TO WEAR TO CLASS
We will provide a plastic disposable apron and gloves for you to wear in class, we do recommend old clothes, and to have your hair tied back. Resin is vibrant and will leave a stain if it is dropped onto clothing, it can not be removed even if you attempt to do it before we recommend long sleeves and closed-in shoes.
CLASS PREP FOR BEST RESULTS
You will learn how to first choose coloured pigments, on arrival you will choose two coloured pigments and one metallic (we recommend having a look at our colour palettes here for some inspiration), beyond that there really is no prep needed. We do recommend that you make yourself familiar with our  Epoxy Resin FAQ's. You can find information on resin here.
CAN I BRING FOOD & DRINKS? CAN I ORDER MY MEAL IN ADVANCE?
This venue is licenced which means it is illegal under Qld Law to bring drinks into the venue. The venue also provides meal service, therefore you are NOT able to bring food and drink into the venue. You can not order in advance but you are able to view their menu here to decide in advance.
IS THERE A FEE PAYABLE TO THE VENUE?
Yes, a minimum of $25 is payable to the venue - this fee is required, even if you do not eat. The venue charges venue hire based on a per head basis, and allows guests to swap this for food/drink if it is their preference, but $25 is payable on arrival for all attendees.
PREMIUM TICKETS VS STANDARD TICKETS - What is ticket protection?
If you are concerned that you will be unable to attend your class due to work, kids, sickness, illness, injury, emergency or covid we recommend purchasing ticket protection. This is an optional add-on at check out and protects your deposit paid allowing you to transfer it to a credit for later use. If you do not purchase ticket protection, and can not attend your event, you will forfeit your deposit paid. You must purchase ticket protection for every ticket you wish to protect. There is a $10 fee to rebook using the resulting credits (please see credit policy).
Standard tickets do not include ticket/deposit protection, and are therefore subject to the full standard terms and conditions if you can not attend your event and have not purchased tickets with inbuilt protection. Â Ticket protection will not result in a refund, only a credit. Ticket protection covers emergencies and covid, illness or any other reason you can not attend - if you do not purchase ticket protection and you experience an emergency or COVID, you will lose your deposit paid if you can not attend. There is no fee to transfer your ticket to another person to attend on your behalf, please simply provide them the physical ticket and they will be admitted using it.

CUSTOMER EXPECTATIONS
Sip 'n' Dip provides group instruction for fun art classes. This is not fine art tuition and you will not be provided 1x1 instruction. Our classes are geared around going out, enjoying dinner and a glass of wine, and having a great night out with friends. Customers are required to listen to the instructions and follow the technique remembering that they are beginners. Whilst we set the expectation for advertised photos at a beginner level, in any particular group we will have a range of clients who are given the same instruction, and produce different levels of results. We ask that if you are new to a particular project, it is important to set realistic expectations for your class output. Sip 'n' Dip can not control customers work, technique or outcomes.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
To help customers prepare for their classes we include a comprehensive frequently asked questions section of our website. You can locate that here. Please allow the page up to 5 seconds to load as it can initially appear as blank for those with slower internet connections.
