In visual art, mixed media describes the artwork in which more than one medium or material has been employed. Sip 'n' Dip Young Mixed Media Explorers focuses on the use of one medium each week.

Creating art expands a child's ability to interact with the world around them, and provides a new set of skills for self-expression and communication. Not only does art help to develop the right side of the brain, it also cultivates important skills that benefit a child's development.

Here at Goodna Art Studio, we provide weekly art classes in capped groups of up to 20 children as we explore the fantastic world of Art and approach a new medium each week. Classes go for about 45 minutes (Sometimes an hour) and are designed to provide children with the opportunity to explore a broad range of arts and crafts concepts, mediums, and processes to help expand their artistic horizons and provide a fun, supportive, and inclusive environment to learn.

These classes are not FINE art tuition. The focus is still very much on FUN art, we want kids to develop a love for the arts by providing learning opportunities that present them with something that provides them with enjoyment, reflects their individuality, and helps them learn, share and create with their newfound skills.

If you are looking for fine art tuition we also offer this but in a 1x1 capacity - your child will be in a class.

Term 1 Class dates run weekly on Wednesdays from the 9th of February for 8 weeks (last class is 30th March 2022)

• Clay (Both air dry and earthen, work on a pottery wheel)
• Alcohol Ink (yupo paper and water carafe)
• Acrylic Paint (learn to paint glasshouse)

Class FAQ

Can parents sign up?

Yes! We think art is a great way to bond with your child! If you wish to participate with your child you can sign up also - prices are the same you will undertake a child's class (content designed for children). Adults that attend without a child will have their tickets canceled and refunds will not apply. Adults can only access this pricing if attending and participating with a child.

What happens if we miss a class?

If you miss a session a credit will be issued for $22.00  and can be used across any Infatuate Creative classes which can be located here, note these are not the same as our general classes as we bring a contractor in to run these classes. terms run for 8 weeks in term 1 this year - in line with school terms (we start late this term because of the 

I am on the NDIS can I bring a carer?

Yes, you can, there is no charge for carers to attend and support their participants. If carers wish to participate (be a student, access materials, and be taught how to do the class) there is a guest charge payable on the day of $35pp

Do your teachers have blue cards?

Yes absolutely, all of our teachers hold a positive blue card notice.

Are you insured?

Yes, absolutely, we hold 20 Million in public liability cover - our certificate of currency is located on the bottom of our website.

Can we leave our child?

Yes, you can provided your child can take instruction. If they are unable to follow the class instruction provided they will require you to attend with them for future classes, if you are unable to do so, we will not issue you with a credit, you will lose your class fee. Please do not book if your child can not follow instructions issued to a group (or if you are not able to provide 1x1 supervision if they are unable to follow group instructions).

What to wear to class

You will be working with art supplies, we encourage you to dress your child in something suitable. We can not provide aprons due to covid regulations and so we encourage you to BYO an apron if it is your preference.

What size is this class

This class is capped strictly at 20 people. Book early to avoid disappointment. We will not extend class sizes for any reason. This technique requires a capped class for the best possible experience for the clients.
