CLASS FAQ

Resin is a chemical, please make an informed choice

Resin is a chemical and as such we ask that you first review our resin information page here which is extremely thorough in addressing all elements of resin (including a copy of the safety data sheet). If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or a child please read them and make an informed decision - we do not recommend the use of resin for people in that stage if life. This class is a functional piece, which means you will seal your art supplies with resin. Once this resin has been cured for 14 days it is considered inert and therefore food safe under the FDA regulations.  As we are using a higher volume of resin in this class you will be required to wear  a disposible respirator, gloves, an apron and safety glasses. Please wear old clothes with long sleeves. Resin can not be removed from clothing and will stain/ruin your clothes.

Travelling with your work

This is a resin class, you will leave your work with the venue over night to keep it level and retain your cells created in class. You will be required to collect it the next day. The opening hours for this venue on Thursdays are 11:30AM - 2:30PM & 5:30PM - 9PM, you will be able to collect your class work at this time. When you travel with your work you will be required to keep it as level as you can, whilst the top of the work will be hard to touch, if you push down on it, you will create marks that can not be removed. So we recommend bringing a towel, laying it flat in your boot and placing your resin art face up on this towel, to ensure it stays in place during the trip home without pressing on anything. Please remove the coaster from the middle of your artwork before you depart.

Colours

You will be attending a masterclass, this means you will have access to a large range of pigments, colours and materials, larger than a regular class, and with more variety including powders and glitters.

Parking

Hogs Breath is located at the Soul Boardwalk and costs $10 if you enter after 4pm. Limited street parking is available. More information regarding parking onsite can be located here.

What to wear to class?

Please wear old clothing, with long sleeves, you are attending an art class and should dress accordingly. Resin can not be removed from your clothing if you get it on it, it will first stain then when cured, crack and be ruined. There is no way to remove resin from clothes.

Can I pre-order a meal?

No, the venue provides a special discounted menu for Sip 'n' Dip Classes. If you have special dietary requirements you can contact hogs breath direct here.

What happens if I can't make it?

You can find the terms and conditions here. For this class you will loose your deposit if you cancel within 7 days, your tickets are non transferrable to other events and credits will not be offered as this is a once off special event masterclass, it is not repeated. If you can not attend, you will loose your non-refundable deposit in full, regardless of the reason. We can not offer a DIY pack for this class due to the intricate nature of of the class, the equipment required and the depth of knowledge that needs to be presented. You can however send someone in your place, or ask us to use your materials to produce the piece for you professionally which you can later collect from the venue. Refunds and credits do not apply (This includes if you can not attend due to Covid).

What size is this class
