ABOUT THIS CLASS & THE PROJECTS OFFERED
This class is a freestyle class designed to let your creative juices flow. You are not taught step by step a specific design, instead, you are guided step by step on how to create your own custom design following a series of steps. You will be provided with a handout in class, QR mood boards for inspiration and guided to design your piece. You will then apply that design using your fingertips (gloves are provided) to your chosen pieces, you will then add foil or metallic ink (depending on which project you choose). Finally, you will be provided with a take-home sealing pack, which you will apply approximately a week after class, once your work has thoroughly dried.
This wonderfully tactile class will connect you with your inner child, and the best bit is if you want to start over you can wipe your design clean and go again until you are happy with your piece.
PRODUCTS USED IN THIS CLASS
Metallic Alcohol Ink, Acrylic non-toxic paint, Foils (such as rose gold, copper, gold and silver), and watercote polymer sealant.
COMPLETED PROJECT PHOTOS
You can view loads more photos of the advertised completed projects and have a thorough look through our demo pieces here:
PROJECT SIZING & INFORMATION
The project is completed on laser cut acrylic shapes, the parts of the findings which are in contact with your ears (for earring projects) are stainless steel. The coasters are a round clear acrylic disk 10cm x10cm x3mm, and the earrings are 50mm at their widest part, and the findings are a 12mm dia.
CAN I DO BOTH EARRINGS AND COASTERS?
No, classes are timed around projects and how long it will take you to create the project listed. You can choose to make either 4-6 coasters OR 4-6 earrings but can not do both in one sitting. Customers who purchase both hoping to be allowed to do it on the night, will instead be asked to choose one on arrival and will be issued a credit to use at a later class they are unable to do on the night. Refunds will not apply.
CAN I BRING FOOD & DRINKS? CAN I ORDER MY MEAL IN ADVANCE?
No, this venue provides meals and is licenced so you CAN NOT bring in drinks or meals from outside the venue. Meals are on a set menu and can not be ordered in advance. If you have special requirements this will considerably limit the options available, please contact the venue direct to find out the seasonal options available at the time of this event.
IS THERE A FEE PAYABLE TO THE VENUE?
Yes, all venues charge a fee. This is a booking fee and is payable on arrival directly to the venue in all instances. All venues offer a meal and a drink complimentary as part of this booking fee, in some instances it is a set menu and in others it is a minimum spend. If you choose not to eat the meal, the fee is still payable. This venue has a set menu for $25 and includes a glass of wine.
PREMIUM TICKETS VS STANDARD TICKETS - What is ticket protection?
You may notice there are two tickets on offer at two prices. The more expensive ticket has a fee that is built into it making it a 'Premium Ticket' which allows you to transfer your deposit paid into a credit for use at a later time, provided you email a request to support@sipndip.com.au before the class starts.
Standard tickets do not include ticket/deposit protection and are therefore subject to the full standard terms and conditions if you can not attend your event and have not purchased tickets with inbuilt protection. There is a $10 fee to rebook using the resulting credits (please see credit policy).
Ticket protection will not result in a refund, only a credit. Ticket protection covers emergencies and covid, illness or any other reason you can not attend - if you do not purchase ticket protection and you experience an emergency or COVID, you will lose your deposit paid if you can not attend. Read more about
ticket protection in the terms and conditions below.

CUSTOMER EXPECTATIONS OF THEIR WORK
Sip 'n' Dip provides group instruction for fun art classes. This is not fine art tuition and you will not be provided 1x1 instruction. Our classes are geared around going out, enjoying dinner and a glass of wine, and having a great night out with friends. Customers are required to listen to the instructions and follow the technique remembering that they are beginners. Whilst we set the expectation for advertised photos at a beginner level, in any particular group we will have a range of clients who are given the same instruction, and produce different levels of results. We ask that if you are new to a particular project, it is important to set realistic expectations for your class output. Sip 'n' Dip can not control customers' work, technique or outcomes.
AGE LIMITATIONS
This class is for 12 years and over. Children under 18 must attend with a parent who can provide supervision. Please read our FAQ's to learn more about the products being used in this class to make a decision for you and your child.
