The Details

Oh hey there!

Looks like Rebecca invited you to attend a fabulous class!

Here at our Sip and Dip we offer FUN art not FINE art so get ready to enjoy a guided learn to make class!

Included in your price of this ticket is:

- A super easy step by step learn to pour resin class run by your fabulous teacher

- All the equipment and materials you will need for a fantastic afternoon out

- Mini Board and coasters to make!

What will happen during the class:

Your teacher will introduce you to the subject of resin, provide you with a brief overview of what the steps will be, and provide a quick safety chat. Once you are ready to go, the class will be split into 2 groups. Group A will be tasked with measuring their resin & hardener, group b will be tasked with choosing their colour pigment. Once the whole group has both resin, hardener and their pigment, the teacher will commence instructing you through the stages of mixing your resin, layering your dirty cup, and the flip-cup technique for this class.

Transporting your resin home

Your resin project will be ready to collect the next day. You can collect it from the studio Monday - Saturday 9 am-2 pm. If you purchase a ticket that includes sanding, you will need to leave your work with us for a minimum of 7 days to cure, and a further 4 days to sand.

Things you should know about resin

Resin is a timed chemical reaction - we can not slow this down, and it can speed up due to a variety of factors beyond our control. So we HIGHLY recommend you make yourself aware of the various factors in play by reading thoroughly our resin FAQ page located here.

Choosing pigment colours

You will be provided with a range of colours to choose from, you can mix coloured pigments together to create new colours and you can even add white pigment to create lighter colours. We recommend between 1-3 colours + a metallic pigment. On-site on the afternoon we will have the basic primary colours, secondary and some tertiary colours plus black and white, along with mica powders. We recommend having a look at some colour pallets that compliment each other here. We do not guarantee particular colours on the evening but provide a range.
